There seems to be a sourceforge project trying to create a free wireless driver: http://linux-bcom4301.sourceforge.net/. Seems like they are looking for help.
These are special informations about reverse engineering the wl.o to understand it's behaviour and so forth.
Mission: Allow tcp/ip/mac-filters between the wlan-clients.
