UltraCaution when upgrading miniPCI cards in IBM ThinkPads!
UltraConnect is a proprietary IBM miniPCI connection format used in many ThinkPad notebooks. It restricts the kind of wireless network card that can be installed in a Thinkpad. If a non-compatible network card is installed in the laptop, the laptop will not boot fully, until said card is removed. There are ways around this, most notably either by hacking the Thinkpad BIOS or changing a bit in the CMOS settings.
