Here are some things that *you* could do to help us
Bring ONE garbage can to the MeetingSpace
Node data base, monitoring and mapping software. EricJohanson and CharlesDietlein are working on this.
Whois/dns/node db server software. Currently, we are manually (via webmin) editing dns entries. There is no 'whois' server. See NodeDbSpecs.
- We could use a dedicated AV person to run the live internet streams during the meeting. Gain some good resume fodder. We could also use a few more mics to be donated, or just loaned to us during the meeting.
Continued work on Routing. HackNight will focus on this for a while.
Simple RoofTopAdHoc solution. Looks like the LinksysWET11 might do the job.
Wahoo! We have services on this network. How do we find them? Think 1984. We could use some simple db that had a searchable database of services available on the network. (presently NodeOneWiki is the best place to point to resources, a DB or search engine would be nice!)
- People with good territorial views.
Propaganda flyer to distribute to residents of buildings with good views. There are so many Condos on east QueenAnne (and other important areas with good views) and we need to get the word out to them. Netstumbler shows lots of access points in these buildings, it should be easy to find some interested people.
(This is almost done. Check out the tri-fold style flyer in pdf format http://ohern.net/files/swn02.pdf - TomO'Hern)
