Things todo:

  1. setup IPSEC tunnel with other SWN nodes via the internet. (completed)
  2. Get .CWN & .SWN dns up (TomMarshall, Completed)

  3. Get big directional antenna on roof, pointed at somebody who wants more 2.4ghz in their home. (Link2, Completed)
  4. Get omni setup for local service coverage. (Completed)
  5. Take Amateur Radio exam at Puyallup Amateur swap fest: (Passed! I dunno my callsign yet. 'UPDATE' Callsign is KD7QKL )

  6. Get mapping DB setup.
  7. Document current Tunnels
  8. Setup new GPL mapping software from PersonalTelco (see WnDb for more info)

Low Pri:

  1. Move onto the top of a mountain, where everyone has LOS of me.

GWs I provide for

I will route for the following Nodes/Tunnels

Peter, Node11: {{{10.19.5.0 -netmask 255.255.255.0 10.18.129.26 }}}

Ken (c4 MeetingSpace): {{{10.13.0.0 -netmask 255.255.0.0 10.18.129.6 10.16.0.0 -netmask 255.255.0.0 10.18.129.6 10.20.1.0 -netmask 255.255.255.0 10.18.129.6 10.21.1.0 -netmask 255.255.255.0 10.18.129.6 }}}

RichardLotz: {{{10.19.1.0 -netmask 255.255.255.0 10.18.129.6 }}}

Plus, any unknown 10. address space will get routed to NodeNorthEastMagnolia (TomMarshall)

progress log

Update: New mast on roof!

Update: 5/7/02, 12:40am. Linux is now running on one of the RG1000's on the roof, using iBSS mode, connected to NodeNorthEastMagnolia. NodeNorthEastMagnolia is (via the same radio) connected to NodeFremont. It's all iBSS, and it's bloody working!

Update: 7/31/02: Airport linux deemed stable. MRTG graphing SNR. Lots of visitors on public omni. Got 150th visitor (dhcp request) on 7/10/02.

lease 10.18.129.104 {
        starts 3 2002/07/10 04:47:38;
        ends 3 2002/07/10 04:57:38;
        hardware ethernet 00:02:2d:37:da:07;
        uid 01:00:02:2d:37:da:07;
        client-hostname "spook";

Whoever spook is, was up at 5am.

Update: 8/14/02: Looking-glass traceroute & ping are up here.

Update: 8/26/02: Blah, sick of dealing with routes. You can see the mess we created here.

Update: 11/23/02: (well, I should have put this note up a long time ago). Tom Marshall Moved away. Pointed directly at node freemont. Got second yagi & AirportLinux on rg1000. Photos here

Update: 6/1/05: I moved away. No more antennas. To the 20 people leaching internet from me, I'm sorry. You'll have to find some other source of your p0rn.
