Here are some things you can do during HackNight, although not restricted to this particular time, that can help SeattleWireless grow:

General Activities/Tasks

Description

Build a node!

Without people putting up nodes, there is no network! If you would like to put up a node, have read the GetStarted page, but are having trouble putting it all together, HackNight is a great place to get help.

The Wiki

The Wiki needs love. Many of the pages are completely out of date (technology changes fast!), and although much of the spam has been cleaned up, there is still some remaining. Mark inappropriate pages with a deletion tag or request an administration account if you really want to help in a big way.

Local, Non Internet reliant services

Part of all of this is just making the network interesting and generating 'local content and services'. This is an ongoing thing obviously, but if you have thoughts or better yet, actual content or services, we'd love to talk about them and/or do them

Event planning / coordination

2006WirelessFieldDay is complete, whats next?

Specific Tasks

Volunteer?

The Map has some inaccurate data, we should fix that up. Specifically I noticed that some of the owner data is wrong. It would be cool to get that up to date.

There are some nodes on the map that do not have tunnels setup yet.If they are capable it would be nice to get them going

I would like to get a WifiDog server up and running for nodes that have internet access.
