Nifty little 900 MHz wireless device. Does Instant Messaging and chat, has free games from their website and an SDK for windows and linux. If you hook one up to a PC with their gateway software, it becomes a gateway for the others. Self organizing adhoc networks a lot like GRID or MadHoc. Marketed to teenagers, but really interesting for location based service type stuff. Vibrates like a pager when others enter it's area or alerts are triggered. Pick one up retail for $100. There are murmurings that their next version will support 802.11b.
These have an interesting feature for matchmaking that lets you know when you're within range of someone that matches your characteristics. This could be very interesting if we hook up a CyBiKo alongside a CxNode.
They have 3 "Secret Fields" We could hook these up to client nodes and put in "swn" and then you would know when you were in range of a node without having to break your laptop out. We are currently using Secret Field1 for our CyBiKos
Another benefit is that you would be able to send email via the hooked up CyBiKo.
Does anyone know where you can get a web browser for one? Can you CybikoNetStumble? (find CyBiKo nets) Chipset is based around the RF Micro Devices RF2915 433/868/915 MHz FSK/ASK/OOK transceiver. It is possible to use old cellular phone RF power amplifiers to increase output power.

Cheap Cybiko's @ http://search.ebay.com/cybiko_W0QQsokeywordredirectZ1QQfromZR8 What are the chances of a telnet/ssh application for the Cybiko platform? (ssh might be a bit demanding for the cpu though.)
