4105 Is about US$159. Has Prism2. Comes with Elan PCI Bridge adapter with TI 1440 chip. Some older mobos won't assign an IRQ to the bridge card. Works well in Linux.
Do not compile wireless support in kernel. Use latest pcmcia_cs package. Tested and works with wlan-ng-0.1.12 and kernel-2.4.17.
Under Rathed:
Put "alias wlan0 prism2_cs" in /etc/modules.conf.
Put "PCIC=i82365" and "PCIC_OPTS=irq_mode=0" in /etc/sysconfig/pcmcia.
Create /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-wlan0
Ncftp observed peak transfer rate of 537kbB/s transfering 30meg kernel source from ProFTPD between identical p2/333 128m ram boxes with 4105s in both and no encryption.
