How to get the old stuff back again
If you are able to load the page, then click on the link with the small blue icon on the top right of the page (info). This will show the page history.
If the page has been removed, you'll see that the page size gets reduced to 0, or somesuch. Fear not. Click on the 'view' link before the removal of content.
It will be something like:
www.seattlewireless.net/index.cgi/FrontPage?action=recall&date=1039368037
Where it says 'recall', change it to 'raw'. EG:
www.seattlewireless.net/index.cgi/FrontPage?action=raw&date=1039368037
Cut the displayed raw wiki page into your clipboard, and then edit the page. Paste the content you copied over the 'hacked' content. Press save. Done!
How to handle a 10meg wiki page
A few times, somebody has loaded 10megs of text into a wikipage. This is bad, as you can't often even get the page loaded off the server, so you can't edit it. Fear not.
If it's the homepage, go here:
www.seattlewireless.net/?action=info
Otherwise, go to the page name, only with "?action=info" at the end of it:
www.seattlewireless.net/index.cgi/MyLeetWikiPage??action=info
... then do the view, action=raw trick as listed above, and then edit it directly via url:
www.seattlewireless.net/index.cgi/MyLeetWikiPage??action=edit
... then save the content back again.
That's it! You now know how to handle a number of different wiki problems. It's not that hard.
