This node is located behind Lovric's Sea-Craft in Anacortes, WA. Lovrics is marine repair facility located on the Guemes Channel, along the south shore, near the west entrance. It has a clear visual shot of
- South Cypress Island
- Southwest corner of Guemes Island
- West side of Blakely Island.
- Central area of Rosario Strait.
Hardware:
DLink DI-614P+ with Pacific Wireless Veritcal Omni 12b in the garage, now on the roof (though I am not pleased with the performance).
Services:
- internet gateway functions.
The Goal
Is to provide wireless access on the water for parts of Guemes, Cypress and nearby areas of Rosario Strait.
The Plan
Eventually, this node will
outdoor access point atop the mast. Possibly one of these http://www.smartbridges.com/new/products/appo.php
It should provide good coverage along Hwy 20 from downtown Anacortes to the San Juan Islands ferry dock.
