"Been lurking on the list for a while; maybe it's time to put me on the map.

address/location: northeast side of Vashon Island
What's that mean?
Thomas Brothers (1995) map page 653, coords G2
I can see (S to N, E to W) essentially all of Puget Sound from Seahurst County park in Burien northward past Discovery Park; the Fauntleroy ferry dock in West Seattle at Lincoln Park; the entire Fauntleroy-Vashon ferry run except for the last half mile before the boat pulls into the Vashon ferry dock; all of the shore south of Alki from about Lowman Beach park on northward to Alki itself; the tip of Magnolia at the Metro plant; all the way up the Sound to Whidbey Island; a little peek at the eastern-most tip of Kitsap penninsula east of Indianola and north of Bainbridge; and finally the south side of Dolphin Point on north Vashon Island.
I'm about 40 feet up off the water so I can see all the tops of the tallest buildings in downtown Seattle; and I can see Mt. Baker when it's clear
picture:
hmm..
This is looking up the Sound from my deck; the white splotch is a ferry right straight in line with Alki with Magnolia off behind and Whidbey off to the left of that; the Kitsap penninsula is to the left of *that*, and Dolphin Point on Vashon is to the left of that if it weren't for the trees.
Unfortunately, I'm kinda down on the side of the Island, which means I've got a ridge behind me and probably a difficult connection onward into Vashon Island itself.
access: this is home
And best of all, I've got absolutely no money to put into this fascinating project!
('course, that hasn't stopped me in the past...)"
